Description
Custom Frame Traceability Label Pair for GMT800 Restoration
Restore missing, faded or damaged frame assembly traceability labels with a custom reproduction pair made from the original information documented for your vehicle or frame.
Quantity 1 includes one untrimmed sheet containing two frame traceability labels. Two matching copies of one customer-approved design are supplied by default. If the vehicle originally used two different labels, clear source material and complete data must be supplied for both designs before the order can be accepted.
This is a made-to-order restoration product. It is not a generic preprinted label and it is not created from a VIN decoder alone.
What You Receive
- Two custom frame traceability label reproductions
- One untrimmed sheet containing both labels
- Two matching labels by default
- Two different designs only when separately documented and approved
- Premium water-resistant vinyl
- Matte protective laminate
- Waterproof permanent adhesive
- Easy-peel backing
- Digital proof for approval before production
The customer must trim each label to its finished dimensions before installation.

This table identifies vehicle families, not universal label fitment. Label design, quantity, dimensions, data fields, frame supplier and installation location can vary by model year, plant, wheelbase, series, drivetrain, frame specification and production revision.
GMT Central will reproduce only the documented label configuration supplied for the order.
Required Customer-Supplied Source Material
Provide the clearest available documentation for each unique original label:
- Straight-on close-up photograph of the complete original label
- Photograph of the second original label if it differs
- Confirmation that the pair should be matching or different
- Vehicle year, make, model, series, trim and drivetrain
- VIN for internal verification
- Proof of vehicle ownership or authorization
- Finished width and height of each label
- Photograph showing the original frame location, when available
- Part number
- Frame code
- EWO or engineering code
- Model number
- Production date
- Caster/camber code
- Serial number
- Large frame-identification characters
- Document, revision and bottom-row text
- Clear source material for every barcode
Photographs should be taken square to the label, in even lighting and at the highest practical resolution. Include an accurate ruler or caliper measurement rather than estimating size from the photograph.
Two Matching Labels Versus Two Different Labels
The standard order includes one unique design printed twice.
If the vehicle originally used two different labels, submit complete source material for both. A materially different second design may require an additional design charge or custom quote before production.
Do not assume that two labels on the same frame are identical. Compare all text, dates, serial numbers, barcode patterns, revision codes and dimensions.
Information GMT Central Will Not Create
GMT Central does not generate, assign, infer, decode, estimate, alter or reconcile:
- Frame serial numbers
- Production dates
- Part numbers
- Engineering or EWO codes
- Model numbers
- Caster/camber codes
- Vehicle or frame identity information
- Missing barcode payloads
- Data that conflicts with the submitted original documentation
Blank traceability-label templates are not offered. Orders containing incomplete, contradictory or unsupported identity information may be declined.
Barcode Policy
Barcodes are reproduced only from a sufficiently clear original label or customer-supplied verified source data. GMT Central does not determine a barcode payload from appearance alone and does not invent missing bars or characters.
Unless machine readability is specifically confirmed as part of the approved proof, barcode scanning performance is not guaranteed. Printing scale, laminate, source-image quality and the condition of the original can affect readability.
Proof and Approval Process
- The customer places the order and submits the required source material.
- GMT Central reviews the material for completeness and consistency.
- If the information is sufficient, a digital proof is prepared.
- The customer reviews all text, dimensions, codes and barcode graphics.
- The customer provides written approval.
- Production begins only after final approval.
The customer is responsible for carefully checking every field before approval. After approval, changes may require a new proof, additional design work or a replacement order.
Not a VIN or Compliance Label
This product is a frame assembly traceability or production-sequencing label reproduction. It is not a replacement for any of the following:
- Vehicle identification number plate or VIN label
- Federal motor vehicle safety certification label
- Door-jamb certification label
- Emissions certification label
- Tire and loading information label
- GVWR or GAWR label
- Service Parts Identification or RPO label
- Government-issued identification or inspection label
This product does not establish vehicle ownership, certify frame originality, confirm legal identity or authenticate a vehicle for sale, registration, inspection or importation.
Ownership and Authorized Use
The purchaser must own the vehicle or frame, or be authorized by its owner to perform the restoration. The submitted information must correspond to the documented vehicle and frame.
The label may not be ordered or used to change, conceal, transfer or misrepresent the identity, production history or configuration of a vehicle or motor-vehicle part.
Trim-to-Fit Construction
Both labels are printed together on one sheet and intentionally supplied untrimmed. Complete all trimming while the backing remains attached.
Use sharp scissors or a precision craft knife, a metal straightedge and a protected cutting surface. Measure the finished dimensions before cutting.
Installation
- Compare the printed labels with the approved proof.
- Confirm the correct position for each label.
- Trim each label while the backing remains attached.
- Remove the damaged original and loose adhesive.
- Remove grease, dirt, loose rust, scale and flaking paint from the mounting surface.
- Repair or refinish the surface when necessary.
- Allow the surface to dry fully.
- Test-fit the label before peeling the backing.
- Apply gradually from one side to the other.
- Press firmly across the complete label, especially around the edges.
Permanent adhesive will not bond reliably to oil, loose corrosion, heavy texture, flaking paint or wet surfaces. Frame restoration may be required before installation.
Production and Shipping
Custom production begins after complete source material and final proof approval. Missing information, unreadable photographs, new source data or revision requests will extend processing time.
Most standard GMT Central products ship within approximately 2–5 business days. Custom-label timing begins only after proof approval. Tracking information is provided when available.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does quantity one include two labels?
Yes. Quantity one includes one untrimmed sheet containing two frame traceability labels.
Will both labels be identical?
Yes, by default. Two matching copies of one approved design are supplied unless two different original labels are documented and approved.
Can you create the label from my VIN?
No. A VIN may be used for internal vehicle verification, but it does not provide every frame-label field, production code, serial number, dimension or barcode needed to reconstruct the original label.
Can you fill in missing information?
No. Missing traceability, engineering, production, serial-number and barcode information will not be invented or estimated.
What happens if my original label is unreadable?
Submit all available photographs and supporting documentation. GMT Central can reproduce only the information that is sufficiently documented. An order may be declined when critical information cannot be verified.
Can I order a blank label?
No. Blank frame traceability-label templates are not offered.
Are the labels pre-cut?
No. Both labels are supplied on one untrimmed sheet and must be trimmed by the customer.
Is this an original General Motors product?
No. This is a custom aftermarket reproduction made for GMT Central. It is not a genuine, licensed or New Old Stock General Motors label.
Can this replace a VIN or federal certification label?
No. This product must not be used as a VIN, certification, emissions, tire/loading, GVWR, RPO or government-issued label.
