Description
Restore the Original All-Wheel-Drive Warning Label
This factory-style reproduction replaces a faded, damaged or missing GM 12567697 all-wheel-drive warning label. It recreates the original bilingual English/French caution artwork used on selected GM trucks, SUVs, vans and AWD vehicles.
GM later superseded reference 12567697 with service part number 24258938. Because a service replacement number does not necessarily guarantee that every revision used identical artwork, compare the product photographs with the original vehicle before ordering.
This listing includes one newly manufactured aftermarket reproduction made for GMT Central. It is not a genuine GM or New Old Stock part.
Fitment Is Based on Drivetrain Configuration
This is not a universal warning label for every four-wheel-drive or all-wheel-drive GM vehicle. Vehicle model and year alone do not establish fitment.
Order this reproduction when at least one of the following is true:
- The original label shows GM reference number 12567697.
- The GM service catalog specifies replacement number 24258938 and the artwork matches this reproduction.
- The vehicle has one of the catalog-supported AWD transfer-case RPOs listed below.
- The complete English/French wording, colors, size and layout match the original label.

Not the Same as GM 12565610
GM 12567697 is the all-wheel-drive warning label. It is not the same product as GM 12565610, which is cataloged primarily for NP8 AutoTrac transfer-case applications.
The two labels commonly appear as alternatives in the same GM catalog diagram. Do not install both labels solely because a vehicle is equipped with four-wheel drive.
Hummer H3 Quantity Note
This listing includes one label. GM Hummer H3 catalog diagrams specify a quantity of two for part number 12567697. H3 and H3T owners should inspect the original vehicle and order quantity two when both warning labels are required.

Trim-to-Fit Construction

Complete all trimming while the backing remains attached. Use sharp scissors or a precision craft knife, a straightedge and a protected cutting surface.
Installation
- Confirm the original part number, transfer-case RPO and complete artwork.
- Identify the original label location on the vehicle.
- Test-fit the reproduction before removing the backing.
- Trim carefully around the finished border while the backing remains attached.
- Remove the original label and as much residual adhesive as practical.
- Clean the mounting surface with a residue-free cleaner appropriate for the material.
- Allow the surface to dry completely and cool before installation.
- Peel back a small portion of the backing and align the label.
- Apply gradually from one side to the other while pressing outward to reduce trapped air.
- Press firmly over the entire label, particularly around the edges.
The original location varies by vehicle. Depending on the application, the label may be installed on an underhood panel, radiator or core support, grille support or another visible service location. Frequently Asked Questions
Does this fit every AWD or 4WD GM vehicle?
No. Fitment depends on the transfer-case RPO, original part number and exact warning-label artwork. A model and year match by themselves are not sufficient.
What is the difference between 12567697 and 24258938?
GM lists 24258938 as the later service replacement for 12567697. Because service replacements can use revised artwork, compare the complete product image with the original vehicle before ordering.
Is this the same as GM 12565610?
No. GM 12565610 is a separate transfer-case caution label commonly associated with NP8 AutoTrac applications. GM 12567697 is associated with selected AWD transfer-case configurations.
Do I need both 12565610 and 12567697?
Usually not. GM catalogs commonly list them as alternatives based on the installed transfer case. Confirm the vehicle’s RPO codes and original label before ordering.
Does the label fit a Hummer H2?
GM catalogs list 12567697 for Hummer H2 applications. Compare the original artwork and label location before ordering.
Why might a Hummer H3 need two labels?
GM H3 catalog diagrams specify a quantity of two for part number 12567697. This product listing includes one label, so order quantity two when both original positions need replacement.
Is this an original General Motors label?
No. This is a newly manufactured aftermarket reproduction made for GMT Central. It is not a genuine GM or New Old Stock part.
Is the label pre-cut?
No. It is supplied trim-to-fit so the installer can create a clean finished edge around the artwork.
Will this label guarantee that a vehicle passes inspection?
No. The label is intended for restoration and reference use. It does not certify the vehicle’s present drivetrain configuration or guarantee acceptance by an inspection authority.
