Description

Free shipping to all 50 U.S. states. Quantity 1 includes two labels total: one GM 12565610 reproduction and one GM 12567697 reproduction.

Important fitment notice: These are two different driveline warning-label designs. GM generally cataloged them for different transfer-case configurations, so most individual vehicles use one label or the other rather than both.

Two Alternate GM Driveline Warning-Label Designs

This two-piece GMT Central set includes factory-style reproductions of two hard-to-find bilingual GM driveline caution labels:

GM referenceLabel typeTypical catalog application
12565610Automatic transfer-case caution labelCommonly associated with RPO NP8 AutoTrac applications
12567697All-wheel-drive warning labelSelected AWD transfer cases including NP3, NP4, NR3, NR4 and NR9

GM later replaced service reference 12567697 with part number 24258938. Because service replacements can use updated symbols, wording or artwork, compare this exact 12567697 reproduction with the original vehicle before ordering.

Who This Set Is Intended For

This set is best suited to:

  • Restoration shops that service multiple GM trucks and SUVs
  • Collectors maintaining more than one compatible vehicle
  • Parts inventories that need both driveline-warning designs available
  • Customers restoring two different vehicles with verified label requirements
  • Detailers who have confirmed that both individual designs are needed

If you are restoring only one vehicle and need only one design, the individual labels are also available:

How to Select the Correct Label for a Vehicle

Before installation, verify the original label, Service Parts Identification codes and drivetrain configuration.

Use GM 12565610 when:

  • The original label shows GM reference 12565610.
  • The vehicle has RPO NP8 and the original artwork matches.
  • The vehicle uses the corresponding automatic AutoTrac transfer-case configuration.

Use GM 12567697 when:

  • The original label shows GM reference 12567697.
  • The applicable service catalog references replacement number 24258938 and the artwork matches.
  • The vehicle uses a catalog-supported AWD transfer case such as NP3, NP4, NR3, NR4 or NR9.

You can use the GMT Central GM RPO Code Decoder to interpret the vehicle’s Service Parts Identification codes.

Application Families Represented by This Set

Because the two labels are configuration-dependent alternatives, this set does not have one universal vehicle-fitment list. Depending on the original part number and transfer-case RPO, one of the two designs appears in catalogs for selected vehicles from the following families:

  • Chevrolet Blazer, Silverado, Silverado SS, Suburban, Tahoe and Avalanche
  • GMC Jimmy, Sierra, Sierra Denali, Yukon and Yukon XL
  • Cadillac Escalade, Escalade ESV and Escalade EXT
  • Oldsmobile Bravada
  • Selected Chevrolet TrailBlazer, GMC Envoy, Buick Rainier and Saab 9-7X AWD applications
  • Selected Hummer H2, H2 SUT, H3 and H3T applications
  • Selected Chevrolet Astro and GMC Safari AWD applications

A model or year appearing in this list does not automatically establish fitment. Use the original part number, transfer-case RPO and complete artwork as the controlling references.

Trim-to-Fit Construction

Both labels are intentionally supplied trim-to-fit. This allows the installer to cut closely around the finished border before applying the selected label to the vehicle.

Complete all trimming while the backing remains attached. Use sharp scissors or a precision craft knife, a straightedge and a protected cutting surface.

Installation

  1. Determine which label design applies to the vehicle.
  2. Confirm the original part number, transfer-case RPO and complete warning artwork.
  3. Test-fit the selected label at the original location.
  4. Trim carefully around the printed border while the backing remains attached.
  5. Remove the old label and as much residual adhesive as practical.
  6. Clean the mounting surface with a residue-free cleaner appropriate for the material.
  7. Allow the area to dry completely and cool before installation.
  8. Peel back a small section of the backing and align the label.
  9. Apply gradually from one side to the other while pressing outward to reduce trapped air.
  10. Press firmly over the complete label, particularly around the edges.

The original mounting location varies by vehicle. Depending on the application, the label may be installed on the upper radiator support, core support, grille support or another visible underhood service location. Use the original label, remaining adhesive outline or vehicle-specific reference photography to confirm placement.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does this set include two labels?

Yes. Quantity 1 includes two labels total: one reproduction of GM 12565610 and one reproduction of GM 12567697.

Were both labels normally installed on the same vehicle?

Generally, no. GM cataloged the two designs for different drivetrain and transfer-case configurations. Most vehicles use one design or the other.

Which label is for NP8 AutoTrac?

GM 12565610 is commonly cataloged for NP8 automatic AutoTrac transfer-case applications.

Which label is for an AWD vehicle?

GM 12567697 is associated with selected AWD transfer cases, including NP3, NP4, NR3, NR4 and NR9 applications. Exact fitment still requires an original-part-number or artwork match.

Does 24258938 use the same artwork as 12567697?

GM lists 24258938 as a later service replacement for 12567697. Service-replacement artwork can change, so compare this reproduction with the original vehicle rather than relying on the replacement number alone.

Can I buy only one of the two labels?

Yes. Both designs are sold separately through their individual product pages.

Are the labels pre-cut?

No. Both labels are supplied trim-to-fit so the installer can create a clean finished edge around the artwork.

Are these genuine GM labels?

No. These are newly manufactured aftermarket reproductions made for GMT Central. They are not genuine GM or New Old Stock labels.

Fitment and Reproduction Notice
